The issue occurs when the user logs in to <a href=\"https:\/\/metvlab.cloud.com\">metvlab.cloud.com<\/a> and selects a Virtual Lab; instead of opening in the web browser, the Virtual Lab will try to open in the Citrix Workspace App instead.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Solution<\/h4>\n<p>The following instructions will set the web browser as the default launch method when accessing Virtual Labs from the web browser.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/metvlab.cloud.com\">metvlab.cloud.com<\/a> and log in with your <strong>BU email<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>From the top right menu select <strong>Account Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<p>   <img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/metit\/files\/2021\/02\/WebBrowserDefault1-636x161.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3596\" width=\"636\" height=\"161\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/metit\/files\/2021\/02\/WebBrowserDefault1-636x161.png 636w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/metit\/files\/2021\/02\/WebBrowserDefault1-1024x259.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/metit\/files\/2021\/02\/WebBrowserDefault1-768x194.png 768w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/metit\/files\/2021\/02\/WebBrowserDefault1-1536x388.png 1536w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/metit\/files\/2021\/02\/WebBrowserDefault1.png 1583w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 636px) 100vw, 636px\" \/><\/p>\n<li>Select <strong>Advanced<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<p>   <img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/metit\/files\/2021\/02\/webBrowserDefault2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3597\" width=\"310\" height=\"290\" \/><\/p>\n<li>Under &#8220;Apps and Desktops Launch Preference&#8221; select <strong>Use Web Browser<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<p>   <img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/metit\/files\/2021\/02\/webBrowserDefault3-636x341.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3598\" width=\"536\" height=\"241\" \/>\n<\/ol>\n<p>After these changes, the Virtual Lab session should open in the web browser instead of the Citrix Workspace App.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When the Citrix Workspace App is not working, some users may experience an issue when accessing the Virtual Labs via the web browser.
