Cohen (MET\u201907) will be the speaker at the 2016 Commencement ceremony for Boston University Metropolitan College. Mr. Cohen is a managing director and board member of Signal Hill Capital, the largest investment-banking firm in the U.S. that focuses on technology, media, and telecom for growth companies.<\/p>\n<p>Respected as one of the foremost experts in merger and acquisitions issues surrounding IT firms, Mr. Cohen is the former managing partner, cofounder, and president of Updata Advisors, Inc., a leading IT boutique investment banking firm. In August 2010, he led the merger of Updata into Signal Hill.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Cohen, who is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), has served on the Board of Advisors of Boston University Metropolitan College since 2012 and is a current part-time faculty member in Administrative Sciences at MET. He has a bachelor\u2019s in accounting from the City University of New York\u2013Herbert H.
