According to the news release, this award \u201crecognizes the student who clearly demonstrated sustained high standards of academic proficiency and dedication, served as a role model in off-duty education accomplishment, and demonstrated the Coast Guard values of honor, respect, and devotion to duty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Smith earned both a <a href=\"\/military\/hanscom\/master-of-science-in-leadership\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Master of Science in Leadership<\/a> and a <a href=\"\/military\/hanscom\/graduate-certificate-in-project-management\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Graduate Certificate in Project Management<\/a> through Metropolitan College\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/military\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">military base satellite program<\/a> at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina.
