I was just admitted! How do I secure my spot at MET?<\/h3>
<\/p>\n

Reply to your offer of admission. <\/strong>You will need to inform us of your intent to enroll in order to move forward in our enrollment process. To accept your offer of admission, refer to the instructions outlined within your admission letter.<\/p>\n

Where do I send my final transcript?<\/h3>
<\/p>\n

Submit official transcripts no later than the first day of your first semester. Boston University requires the submission of an official <\/strong>transcript certifying your bachelor\u2019s degree (with degree completion date) prior to your first class at MET.<\/p>\n

When will I receive my BU email\/login information?<\/h3>
<\/p>\n

Within 1-2 business days of accepting your admission offer, you will receive an email from ithelp@bu.edu<\/a> with instructions on how to establish your BU account\/email. Your account will grant you access to a variety of BU resources, including the MyBU Student Portal<\/a> \u2013 where you will register for classes, pay your bills, and much more. Instructions on how to check your BU email can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Where do I find my BU ID number?<\/h3>
<\/p>\n

Your BU ID number (e.g. U12345678) is at the top of your admission letter.<\/p>\n

Additionally, after setting up your BU email and Kerberos account you can view your BU ID in your MyBU Student Portal<\/a>. After logging in, at the top of the page under My Information<\/em> you can view your name, BU ID, college and program. Alternatively, click on MyBU Student Dashboard<\/em>. Once redirected, click on My Profile<\/em> and then General Information<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you encounter any difficulties locating your BU ID, please call our office, 617-353-2980 for further assistance.<\/p>\n

How do I find my advisor and make an advising appointment?<\/h3>
<\/p>\n

Login to your MyBU Student Portal<\/a>. Your advisor(s) will be listed on the landing page Dashboard under the Advisors header. Alternatively, you can find your advisors using the lefthand navigation bar: Academics>Advisor Information. You can then schedule an appointment with your academic through your portal.<\/p>\n

How do I find my academic department contact information?<\/h3>
<\/p>\n

You can find your academic department and program and other MET administrative offices and staff through our directory<\/a>. Additionally, you can find the specific faculty and staff in your academic program best suited to assist you on the Graduate Student Advisors<\/a> page.<\/p>\n

When do I register and when do classes start?<\/h3>
<\/p>\n

You can find specific online and on-campus calendar information on our MET Academic Calendars<\/a> page. Bookmark this page for registration dates and times, semester dates, graduation dates and withdrawal and tuition refund schedules.<\/p>\n

Please note that on-campus and online courses may run on different schedules with different associated course deadlines. Be sure to reference the correct calendar for the courses you plan to enroll in.<\/p>\n

How do I register for classes?<\/h3>
<\/p>\n

New students seeking to register for their first semester: Please be sure to consult with your <\/em>academic advisor<\/em><\/a> prior to registering for courses.<\/em><\/p>\n

Follow the course registration process outlined below, or watch our Course Registration Tutorial video.<\/a><\/p>\n

  1. Log in to MyBU Student Portal<\/a> using your BU email and Kerberos password.\n
      \n
    1. If you have not yet established your BU account, please refer to the instructions you received from \u201cithelp@bu.edu<\/a>\u201d upon accepting your admission offer. Contact us at metadmit@bu.edu<\/a> if you have any questions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    2. Upon logging in, click on the Registration tile and you will be directed to your MyBU Student Dashboard.<\/li>\n
    3. From the Dashboard, click \u201cClass Search\u201d on the lefthand navigation to filter for courses based on specific criteria (term, instructor, course number, instruction mode, etc.). Watch this video tutorial<\/a> for further guidance on utilizing Class Search and the course registration process.\n

      1. Please note the following details when registering:\n
          \n
        1. Use the \u201cInstruction Mode\u201d filter to select in-person or online courses.<\/li>\n
        2. Each term (semester) contains one 15-week on-campus session or two seven-week online sessions (most online courses are seven weeks in duration). Utilize the \u201cSession\u201d filter for online courses offered in \u201cSeven Week \u2013 First\u201d or \u201cSeven Week \u2013 Second,\u201d for online session 1 and online session 2 respectively.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
