Whether you\u2019re just starting to explore different paths or already working toward specific goals, MET Career Development is here to support you. Individual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/met\/careers\/#appointments\">appointments<\/a> are available for degree-seeking MET students and alumni with career-related questions. Our goal is to create a supportive space and help you take the next step forward with confidence.<\/p>\n<h3>Helpful Things to Think About<\/h3>\n<p>Before meeting with us, take a moment to consider what you would like to focus on\u2014whether that\u2019s your interests, help with application materials, or simply finding a good starting point. <\/p>\n<p>Here are a few suggestions to help you get started:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Consider Your Interests:<\/strong> We can talk through possibilities together. Sometimes just having a conversation can help clarify your next step.<\/li>\n<li><strong>VMock:<\/strong> For tips on developing your r\u00e9sum\u00e9, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile\u2014or to practice your interview techniques\u2014try <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vmock.com\/bu\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">VMock<\/a> before your appointment.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Application Materials:<\/strong> Bring your r\u00e9sum\u00e9 or cover letter (printed for in-person, digital for virtual) if you\u2019d like feedback.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Job Descriptions:<\/strong> Having a sample job posting on hand can make our discussion even more practical.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mock Interviews:<\/strong> If you\u2019d like to practice, you are welcome to share a job description and your r\u00e9sum\u00e9 in advance. This helps us tailor the experience, but it isn\u2019t required.<\/li>\n<li><strong>R\u00e9sum\u00e9\/Cover Letter:<\/strong> Have your r\u00e9sum\u00e9 and cover letter ready on your computer for virtual meetings and bring a printed copy for in-person meetings.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mock Interviews:<\/strong> If you are preparing for a mock interview, please send a copy of the job description for the role you are interested in at least 24 hours in advance.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Other Topics:<\/strong> Bring any other questions or materials you\u2019ve been working on \u2014 we\u2019ll focus on what matters most to you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Working Together<\/h3>\n<p>Appointments are 30 minutes long and designed to be collaborative. Together, we will identify clear, realistic next steps that align with your goals. You\u2019re welcome to schedule follow-up meetings as you make progress.<\/p>\n<h3>Attendance and Cancellations<\/h3>\n<p>Your concerns are important to us, and we want to be available for all students. To ensure fair access, please book one appointment at a time. If multiple appointments are scheduled, we will keep the earliest and release the others so your peers can also receive support.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cancellations:<\/strong> We understand that unexpected things happen. If you can\u2019t attend, please cancel in <a href=\"https:\/\/bu.joinhandshake.com\/login\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Handshake<\/a> at least 24 hours in advance.
