To accept your offer of admission, refer to the instructions outlined within your admission letter.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Set up your BU email (Google Apps account).<\/strong> Your BU email account will allow you to receive important information from your department and your professors. The username and Kerberos password you set up will also be used to access BU resources including the <a href=\"https:\/\/student.bu.edu\/MyBU\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MyBU Student Portal<\/a>\u2014where you register for classes, pay your bills, and view your grades.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Apply for financial aid.<\/strong> BU MET offers comprehensive financial aid services to help you meet your educational goals. Additionally, on-campus students must provide health and immunization information as indicated in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/shs\/getting-started\/incoming-health-requirements\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Incoming Health Requirements<\/a> section of the Student Health Services (SHS) website.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pay your student account.<\/strong> Log on to the <a href=\"https:\/\/student.bu.edu\/MyBU\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MyBU Student Portal<\/a> to pay your tuition bill or set up a payment plan.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Submit official transcripts no later than the first day of your first semester.<\/strong> Boston University requires the submission of an official transcript certifying your bachelor\u2019s degree (with degree completion date) prior to your first class at MET. BU has been offering online programs since 2002 and remains on the vanguard of distance learning, recognized with several awards for best practices and exemplary courses. To apply for a student visa, you must first obtain a Certificate of Eligibility from Boston University. There are two types of certificates: the Form I-20 (for those seeking an F-1 visa) and the Form DS-2019 (for those seeking a J-1 visa). All international students and all full-time or three-quarter-time students are legally required to have health insurance and are automatically enrolled in the BU health insurance plan. Part-time on-campus students may be eligible for SHIP coverage but will need to enroll on their own.
