In the event that an instructor is not able to teach a class during the semester, the following three items must be done:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Both the <a href=\"\/met\/contact\/\">department chair<\/a> and the <a href=\"\/met\/for-faculty-staff\/contact-us\/\">Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs<\/a> must be notified<\/li>\n<li>Students need to be notified in a timely manner<\/li>\n<li>The class will need to be made up<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To schedule a make-up class please contact the Academic Services office at 617-353-3000 or metacad@bu.edu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While we discourage the cancellation of classes by instructors we understand that unforeseen events do occur.
