Chadwick<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/met\/files\/2020\/09\/chadwick_p_100.jpg\" alt=\"MET Alumna Patricia Chadwick\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-64592\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/><strong>Patricia Walsh Chadwick<\/strong> received her BA in economics from Boston University and had a thirty-year career in the investment business, culminating as a Global Partner at Invesco. Today, she sits on a number of corporate boards and blogs on issues social, economic, and political. She also mentors middle school girls at Our Lady Queen of Angels School in Harlem. Chadwick is CEO of Anchor Health Initiative, a health care company she founded in 2016 that serves the needs of the LGBTQ community in Connecticut. She is married and lives in Connecticut with her husband. They have a daughter and a son.\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\n\n\n<hr \/>\n\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"innovationfund\">Academic Program Development & Innovation Fund<\/h2>\n\n\nEstablished at Boston University\u2019s Metropolitan College in December 2023, the Academic Program Development & Innovation Fund is used to provide support for curricular innovation and academic program development at BU\u2019s Metropolitan College, including faculty grants for course development research and supplemental technology needs. \n\nBU MET\u2019s Academic Program Development & Innovation Fund is made possible by an initial gift from Mike McCabe (MET\u201987,\u201987) former chair and current member of Metropolitan College\u2019s Dean Advisory Board, to \u201csupport faculty research [to develop innovative pedagogy solutions] and education.\u201d The goal of this fund is to sustain and enhance Metropolitan College\u2019s reputation as a laboratory and incubator for programs, pedagogy, and teaching technologies.\n\n\n\n<h3>Call for Proposals<\/h3>\n\n\n\nMET Academic Program Development & Innovation Fund awards provide <strong>up to $10,000<\/strong> to support a faculty project for a period of one year.\n\n<strong>Application Process<\/strong>\n\n\n<ol type=\"a\">\n\n<li>Proposals are due to the selection committee by <strong>April 1, 2025<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n             \n\n<li>Proposals should include:<\/li>\n\n\n             \n\n<ol type=\"i\">\n\n<li>A statement of interest (1\u20132 pages) explaining why you are applying for the award and a detailed description of the intended project or plan for the use of funds.<\/li>\n\n  \n\n\n<li>A budget plan that includes each category of expense and approximate amount, with a grand total expense for your project.<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n<li>Any appropriate supplementary materials (documentation of costs or logistics).<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n<li>A statement of support and signature by your department chair.<\/li>\n\n<\/ol>\n\n \n\n\n<li>Please submit proposals via email to Assistant Director of Strategic Projects Maryan Sharif, <a href=\"mailto:maryan@bu.edu\">maryan@bu.edu<\/a>, who will coordinate with the Selection Committee overseen by the Dean. <\/li>\n\n\n<\/ol>\n\n\nWe ask you consider proposals that \n\n\n<ol type=\"a\">\n\n<li>promote interdisciplinary research;<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n<li>have the potential to produce tangible results that benefit Metropolitan College; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n<li>may serve as a starting point for a larger departmental project. <\/li>\n\n\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<strong>Selection Process:<\/strong>\n\n\n<ol type=\"a\">\n\n<li>The Selection Committee will carefully review your proposal once received.<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n<li>Award decisions will be announced by <strong>June 1, 2025<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n<li>Awardees will have one year to conduct their research project.<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n<li>A report detailing the results of the project will be expected at the culmination of the work.
