On this page you will find important information about financing your education at BU.<\/p>\n<p>International graduate students are not eligible for federal financial assistance, but are evaluated for merit scholarships and may consider applying for graduate assistantships or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/finaid\/how-aid-works\/types-of-aid\/loans\/credit-based-loans\/international\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">private loans<\/a> after being offered admission.<\/p>\n<h2>Tuition<\/h2>\n<p>View the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/met\/admissions\/tuition-financial-aid\/\">full-time status tuition rates<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/met\/admissions\/tuition-financial-aid\/payment-information-deadlines\">how to pay<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you are planning to study at BU MET on an F-1 visa, you will need to maintain full-time status (at least 12 units). Please note that if you are studying online you do not need to maintain full-time status. Additional charges apply to all students enrolled in more than 18 units.<\/p>\n<h2>Estimated Cost of Study<\/h2>\n<p>International students are required by the University to demonstrate that they are able to fund all tuition, fees, books, and living expenses throughout the duration of their studies. To do this, each student or sponsor (person funding the student\u2019s education) must submit financial documentation in the form of an official letter or statement from a bank or financial institution. The document must show the availability of funds to cover the estimated total cost corresponding to the program of study.<\/p>\n<p>Review the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/isso\/international-students\/required-financial-documentation\/graduate-estimate-of-expenses-charles-river-campus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Estimated Cost of Graduate Study<\/a> over a 9-month period (fall and spring) or a 12-month period (fall, spring, and summer).<\/p>\n<h2>Merit Scholarships<\/h2>\n<p>All master\u2019s degree applicants are automatically considered for merit scholarships. The admissions committee will nominate admitted students to receive this award, based on the strength of each applicant\u2019s academic qualifications and professional experiences. Scholarship recipients will be notified of their award with their admissions decision.<\/p>\n<p>Admitted students who plan to attend full-time on campus can apply for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/met\/admissions\/financial-aid\/scholarships\/bridge-to-boston-scholarship\/\">Bridge to Boston Scholarship<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Graduate Assistantships<\/h2>\n<p>Assistantships are available for Metropolitan College graduate students through individual academic departments or programs.
