MET CPUA Alum Wins Outstanding Paper Award
Jinwon Jeon (MET’23), who earned his Master of Urban Affairs at BU MET, won a prestigious award in recognition of a paper he authored concerning comparative practices in urban lawmaking.
Granted by the Journal of Property, Planning and Environmental Law, Jeon was named the winner of the 2024 Literati Award for Outstanding Paper, in recognition of his work, “Methodology and framework of comparative urban planning law.” Only one such award is granted each year.
BU MET’s City Planning and Urban Affairs programs prepare graduates to make an impact in the field through leadership, policy, and organization. During his time at BU MET, Jeon took both Urban Research Methods (MET UA 703), which taught him the skills required of social-science research, and Planning and Land Use Law (MET UA 715), which underscored the tether between land use controls and court decisions, paving the way to this latest achievement.
