Distinguished Alum Peter Raimondi (MET’80) to Deliver BU MET’s 2022 Commencement Address
Peter Raimondi, Esq. (MET’80, LAW’83), a titan of the wealth management industry and long-time member of the Metropolitan College (MET) Dean’s Advisory Board will deliver an address to graduates at MET’s Convocation Ceremony during BU’s 2022 Commencement Weekend.
Since earning his BLA in Interdisciplinary Studies at MET, Raimondi has remained an active and supportive member of the College’s community. In 2014, Raimondi, who has long served on the MET Dean’s Advisory Board, founded the Captain Peter J. Raimondi, Jr. Scholarship Fund, which provides funds based on financial need to at least two deserving undergraduate MET students per year. The scholarship was inspired by his late father, who instilled in Raimondi a lifelong desire to help others receive a formal education and pursue their passions.
Raimondi is a believer in balancing art with industry. In 2021, he considered the ways beauty sparks creativity and vision as part of his BU MET Distinguished Lecture, “The Muse as Inspiration in Photography.” In the talk, he explored his own photography alongside major 20th century masters like Harry Callahan, Alfred Stieglitz, and Emmet Gowin.
An attorney, avid photographer, passionate supporter of the fine arts, and visionary in the wealth management industry, Raimondi is CEO and founder of Dakota Wealth Management, an independent investment management firm serving high-net-worth individuals and families through thoughtful counsel, sound judgment, experience, and skill. In 2020, he was named a finalist in two categories for the WealthManagement.com Industry Awards—CEO of the Year and M&A Leader of the Year—among Individual Registered Investment Advisor Firm Leaders.
Mr. Raimondi’s Commencement Address will be delivered Saturday, May 21. For more, visit our Convocation Ceremony Website here.
