Boston University Diversity & Inclusion (BU D&I) Learn More Series. The 2021-22 Annual Theme: Disability

Each year, we devote ourselves to investigating a single topic of social importance through our Learn More Series. The effort features nationally renowned speakers, workshops, panel discussions, and reading groups, among other programming. And we encourage the community to participate. In fact, that’s the point!

This rigorous exploration, spread across the entire academic year, is intended to continuously spark new learning, catalyze important conversations among students, staff, and faculty, and supply our community members with the tools to turn theory into action.

As it is each year, the series is divided into four distinct parts, each guided by a single question. This part of the series addresses the question, “How do we interrupt it?” by exploring the following questions:

What are concerns and/or interventions we might consider when addressing the challenges faced by individuals living with disabilities? How do we create a more equitable and just environment?

Join Boston University Diversity & Inclusion (BU D&I) for featured speaker Talila Lewis who will be giving a talk titled Disability Justice In The Age of Mass Incarceration.
