Spanning all delivery formats—from the traditional on-campus setting to online learning—the ETI utilizes the latest technological and pedagogical advances to create the best possible learning environment for students.<\/p>\n
Overview of Capabilities<\/h2>\n
The Educational Technology & Innovation office actively monitors the latest advancements in educational technologies<\/a>—including online content development and tools for management and collaboration—and oversees their implementation in the classroom.<\/p>\n
ETI supports blended courses and programs<\/a> at Metropolitan College. Known as “eLive,” MET’s blended format was introduced in 2008 to combine the singular advantages of online and on-campus education. Devised for professionals seeking a traditional classroom experience that could accommodate busy work schedules and other commitments, courses in the blended format consist of several on-campus class meetings throughout the semester paired with ongoing online study, including student-to-student and student-to-faculty collaboration.<\/p>\n
