Alison Carberry, Master Lecturer in Spanish<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Alison Carberry Gottlieb remains active in the field of medieval and early Iberian studies in addition to her focus on Spanish language teaching. As a feminist scholar, her research focuses on the roles of women in both popular and learned texts, correlating relevant issues of race, class\/station, and religion, as well. <\/span><\/p>\n

Irit Kleiman, Associate Professor of Romance Studies<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Professor Kleiman teaches courses on the literatures and cultures of medieval and REnaissance France, and serves on the faculty of the Core Curriculum in the Humanities. Her research interests include historiography, law and literature, intellectual history, the cultures of memory, Mediterranean studies, the material turn, history of the senses, psychoanalysis and literature, and the tropes of embodiment. <\/span><\/p>\n

Anita Savo, Assistant Professor of Spanish<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Anita Savo teaches courses in Spanish on the literatures and cultures of medieval Iberia, and periodically teaches courses in English on translating the Middle Ages. Her research interests include Jewish-Christian-Muslim relations, medieval theories of authorship, medieval women, translation and pseudotranslation, and medievalism in the nineteenth century. <\/span><\/p>\n
