CMTM Faculty Mini-Retreat

Our first ever CMTM Faculty Retreat took place on Wednesday, May 27th from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. via Zoom, and it was a great success!

Faculty members brought their own lunch while we socialized and strategized for our new center.

Highlights from the CMTM Faculty Retreat included:

• An opportunity for faculty members to meet “face-to-face” and share a brief description of their current research interests
• Updates on the website publication (www.bu.edu/mechanobiology), Twitter account launch (@MultiscaleC), Slack Group creation
• Plans for submitting upcoming training grant proposals for the Center, especially NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REUs) and NIH T32s and Postbaccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP)(R25).
• Brainstorming session on challenges in the field of mechanobiology and how the Center can work to address them
