Graduate Student Appreciation Week 2025: Trainee Spotlights for Thursday, April 10th
We have more Trainee Spotlights for you today for Graduate & Professional Student Appreciation Week (GSAW)!
Up first is Caitlin Colicchio, a Ph.D. candidate studying mechanobiology and aging in soft tissues in The Connizzo Lab. In addition to being an active member of CMTM, Caitlin is also part of the inaugural class of fellows in BU’s Graduate Training Program in Biological Feedback Control. Funded by the National Science Foundation, this program forms an interdisciplinary community of students and faculty that combines the study of the engineering principles of feedback control with investigations on how biological systems self-regulate, adapt, heal, and evolve.
Next is Ph.D. candidate Joseph Hall. Joseph is a member of the The Cell & Tissue Mechanics Lab, and he successfully defended his dissertation last week! Congratulations, Joseph! He was nominated for a spotlight by his PI Bela Suki for doing fantastic research on computational mechanobiology related to fibrosis. Check out the link below to read their full profiles!
