Trainee Spotlight – Hana Kalčo

Our final trainee spotlight of the week is on Hana Kalčo, a member of the Connizzo Lab under PI Dr. Brianne Connizzo. The research of the Connizzo Lab takes a novel approach to understanding soft tissue aging by identifying age-related changes in: cells, the surrounding extracellular matrix (ECM); and tissue mechanical function; the ability of cells to sense mechanical and biochemical cues through the ECM; and the homeostatic regulation of ECM structure through remodeling.
