I am interested in stem cell niches and the micro-environment that causes progenitor proliferation and differentiation. In particular, I am investigating the molecular mechanisms behind proliferation and differentiation of alveolar type 2 pneumocytes in lung injury repair and homeostasis to advance towards cell-based therapy in the diseased lung.
