So, we developed a brand identity that highlights their unique interdisciplinary community.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Solution<\/h4>\n<p>The redesign began with strategic positioning that outlines the college\u2019s cross-departmental approach: \u201cWhen arts meet sciences, the possibilities are boundless.\u201d This statement and positioning informed the visual brand identity, brand messaging, and style guide for all 26 undergraduate and graduate departments.<\/p>\n<p>We started with a tagline treatment that took the form of an equation, representing the multiplying effect of their programs: \u201cArts x Sciences = Boundless Possibilities.\u201d Simple enough for all their communications, it also led to a thought-provoking new masthead for the alumni magazine.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/marcom\/files\/2024\/07\/Screenshot-2024-07-16-at-5.02.11-PM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1031\" height=\"410\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2489 aligncenter\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/marcom\/files\/2024\/07\/Screenshot-2024-07-16-at-5.02.11-PM.png 1031w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/marcom\/files\/2024\/07\/Screenshot-2024-07-16-at-5.02.11-PM-636x253.png 636w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/marcom\/files\/2024\/07\/Screenshot-2024-07-16-at-5.02.11-PM-1024x407.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/marcom\/files\/2024\/07\/Screenshot-2024-07-16-at-5.02.11-PM-768x305.png 768w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/marcom\/files\/2024\/07\/Screenshot-2024-07-16-at-5.02.11-PM-755x300.png 755w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1031px) 100vw, 1031px\" \/>The look-and-feel came next: bold colors, eye-catching visuals, and contrasting modern and classic typefaces defined the visual identity and underscored the CAS commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration.
