Profile

Paco (Francisco) Layna Ranz has a degree in Computer Science and a PhD in Spanish Language and Literature from the Complutense University in Madrid. In the past, he has taught at Harvard and Boston University. He is currently teaching for several American programs in Madrid and at Middlebury College (Vermont) in the summer. Professor Layna has written four books on literary criticism and eight poetry books as well. In addition to literature, he enjoys soccer (supporter of Rayo Vallecano, a team that always loses), wine and dogs, and more than anything else, spending time with his daughter.
