Profile
Estela Maeso holds a PhD in Modern History and completed MAs in Interdisciplinary Studies in Gender y Advanced Studies of Modern History: “The Spanish Monarchy, XVI-XVIII” at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). She also holds a degree in Management and Processing of Public and Private Institutional Information from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Dr. Maeso has been a Council Member of the Institute University of Women’s Studies (IUEM) at the UAM since 2003, and has been working with Boston University since 2011. She is currently a member of the “Effectiveness of an educative intervention developed on pupils’ first year of Compulsory Secondary Education in Madrid on social gender stereotypes” research team. Her fields of expertise are European and Spanish History and Genders Roles.
