Current BU students, faculty, and staff may access the New York Times online through the BU Libraries academic group pass. A subscription through the BU Libraries provides access to all New York Times journalism: from articles dating back to 1851 to today’s breaking news and latest features. This subscription also provides access to the mobile news app, the TimesMachine<\/a> and archives, podcasts, multimedia features, and subscriber-only newsletters.<\/p>\n

Please note this subscription does not include crossword puzzles, NYT Games, Cooking, Wirecutter, or The Athletic. New York Times access is not available to BU alumni and affiliated researchers.<\/p>\n

Create Your Academic Group Pass<\/h2>\n

To complete your account registration, follow the instructions below:<\/p>\n

  1. Log into the NYT group pass<\/a> with your BU credentials<\/li>\n
  2. Select \u201cCreate Account\u201d<\/li>\n
  3. Follow the prompts onscreen to create a new account OR if you have an existing account, log in to associate the account with the BU group pass<\/li>\n
  4. Select your BU affiliation:\n

    1. If you are a Student<\/strong>, you will be asked to select your expected graduation date<\/li>\n
    2. If you are Faculty\/Staff<\/strong>, your account credentials will expire after four years. Make a note of the expiration date on the registration confirmation page, as you will need to re-register at that time (see Renewing Your Academic Group Pass)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    3. Once your account is created, you can login at nytimes.com<\/a> from anywhere.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
