The White House is where the current president and his/her family lives. It is also where those at the top of the executive branch in the government work.
It is located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20500. Self guided tours of the White House are available from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, along with from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. They are of a first come first serve basis for scheduling and must be scheduled at least 21 days in advance.
