Malak is Angela's mother and the spy inside of the Ghost Cell. She is one of the characters that gets a few chapters as the point of view.
Malak is the child of Ziv and identical twin to Anmar, a member of the Ghost Cell. She was seperated from her family at birth, both her and her sister going to differently families raised to be part of the Ghost Cell. Malak decided to run away instead of join and became a secret service agent.
She infilitrated the Ghost Cell after both her and her sister met up when she went to difuse a bomb. Anmar was becoming a little disilusioned with the Ghost Cell, and ended up dying difusing the bomb. Anmar's body was mistaken as Malak's as she went and pretended to be Anmar to get inside the cell.
Her job is to rise through the ranks and find out information. She two missions. One is to find the leaders, and more specifically the number one, to take them out. The second is to find out information and smuggle it out so plots can be stopped.
She has Ziv watching her back, sending people off the trail and telling Malak more about Anmar, or at least what he knows about her. For the most part though, Malak is on her own inside the cell.
