My Obsession with Books

Along with my problem of getting too much fandom merchandise, I also have the same problem with books, whether it be getting them from the library or buying them from the bookstore. Even if I'm not finished reading a particular book, I'll still go to the library or bookstore to get more. So basically, my to-be-read shelf is endless.

Oops.

On the other hand, I am pretty organized in keeping track of what I'm reading. I use Goodreads to set my goals for the year and to put down what my ratings are. (You can click on the image below to check out what books I'm currently reading, what books I've read, and what I thought about them!)

I have so many favorite books, but if I had to choose one, it would definitely be 'All the Bright Places' by Jennifer Niven.

Summary:

The beloved New York Times bestseller that Entertainment Weekly described as “sparkling” and says “get[s] under your skin.” You won’t soon forget this heart-wrenching, unflinching story of love shared, life lived, and two teens who find each other while standing on the edge.

Theodore Finch is fascinated by death. Every day he thinks of ways he might kill himself, but every day he also searches for—and manages to find—something to keep him here, and alive, and awake.

Violet Markey lives for the future, counting the days until graduation, when she can escape her small Indiana town and her aching grief in the wake of her sister’s recent death.

When Finch and Violet meet on the ledge of the bell tower at school—six stories above the ground— it’s unclear who saves whom. Soon it’s only with Violet that Finch can be himself. And it’s only with Finch that Violet can forget to count away the days and start living them. But as Violet’s world grows, Finch’s begins to shrink. . .
