He is currently Chief Legal Officer at Finalsite, a <\/span><span class=\"s2\">PE-<\/span><span class=\"s2\">owned <\/span><span class=\"s2\">software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider that offers website design, hosting, content management, and other software solutions for schools<\/span><span class=\"s2\">. He was previously <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Chief Legal Officer<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> for Starry, a <\/span><span class=\"s2\">VC<\/span><span class=\"s2\">&#8211;<\/span><span class=\"s2\">backed company that<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> has<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> developed and deployed the first <\/span><span class=\"s2\">consumer internet service using millimeter-wave wireless technology. Under Bill\u2019s guidance, Starry raised over $<\/span><span class=\"s2\">5<\/span><span class=\"s2\">00 million in private investment before going public on the NYSE<\/span><span class=\"s2\">. \u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s2\">Before Starry, Bill was General Counsel at Esselte Group Holdings, a <\/span><span class=\"s2\">PE-<\/span><span class=\"s2\">held business with 2,500 employees and subsidiaries in over <\/span><span class=\"s2\">30<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> countries. Esselte\u2019s key brands included Pendaflex, Oxford, Ampad, Dymo, and Leitz. Under Bill\u2019s <\/span><span class=\"s2\">oversight<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, Esselte closed M&amp;A and corporate<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> <\/span><span class=\"s2\">financings and refinancings with aggregate value <\/span><span class=\"s2\">in excess of<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> $1.5 billion. Prior to Esselte, Bill was an associate at Skadden in Boston, where he represented purchasers and sellers in M&amp;A transactions and issuers and underwriters in public and private equity and debt offerings<\/span><span class=\"s2\">.
