He also is regularly engaged as a consulting and testifying expert in M&amp;A-related litigation. Before founding Pari Passu, Mr. Basile served as a partner in the M&amp;A practices of Weil, Gotshal &amp; Manges; Foley Hoag; and Bingham McCutchen; and as a senior advisor at Hogan Lovells. Earlier in his career, he was a law professor at Western New England University School of Law, where he was awarded tenure and recognized for excellence in teaching. Mr. Basile has also taught corporate finance and M&amp;A courses at the University of Connecticut School of Law.
