Carter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>Since 2013, Karen Carter has served as the Assistant Director of the Transactional Law Program. She <\/span><span>works with <\/span><span>the Director of the Program to develop, and to modify and update, the curriculum<\/span><span> for <\/span><span>Contract Drafting<\/span><span>, the Program\u2019s foundational course. <\/span><span>She also assists in the development of the <\/span><span>Program\u2019s <\/span><span>capstone<\/span><span> transaction simulation courses<\/span><span> and works with the Director to support part-time faculty<\/span><span> teaching in the Program<\/span><span> and <\/span><span>to <\/span><span>oversee all P<\/span><span>rogram administrative matters. <\/span><span><\/span><span>Karen was the co-creator of the long-running <\/span><span>t<\/span><span>ransaction <\/span><span>s<\/span><span>imulation course Auction and Sale of a Private Company, for which she was the co-instructor. <\/span><span>Prior to joining Boston University School of Law, Karen was a <\/span><span>senior <\/span><span>corporate attorney in the Boston office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher &amp; Flom LLP, where her practice focused on representing public companies in merger &amp; acquisition and corporate finance transactions. <\/span><span><\/span><span>She also has significant experience with corporate governance and Securities and Exchange Commission matters.<\/span><span> Earlier in her career, Karen worked in equity research at Fidelity Investments and was a litigation legal assistant at Palmer &amp; Dodge LLP.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4833,"template":"","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/law\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/11060"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/law\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/law\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/profile"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/law\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/4833"}],"version-history":[{"count":5,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/law\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/11060\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":118009,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/law\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/11060\/revisions\/118009"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/law\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=11060"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
