His special interest is federal <em>habeas corpus<\/em> for state prisoners. He has written a number of articles on that subject, the most recent of which are: &#8220;The New <em>Habeas Corpus<\/em> in Death Penalty Cases,&#8221; 63 <em>Am. U. L.
