
{"id":91196,"date":"2022-06-27T12:58:43","date_gmt":"2022-06-27T16:58:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/law\/?page_id=91196"},"modified":"2022-07-06T14:11:36","modified_gmt":"2022-07-06T18:11:36","slug":"transcripts","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/law\/admissions-aid\/jd-admissions\/application-instructions\/transcripts\/","title":{"rendered":"Academic Transcripts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Once you have registered with LSAC&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lsac.org\/applying-law-school\/jd-application-process\/credential-assembly-service-cas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Credential Assembly Service (CAS)<\/a>\u00a0you may submit academic transcripts to include with your application.<\/p>\n<p>A transcript from each undergraduate college or university attended must be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lsac.org\/applying-law-school\/jd-application-process\/cas\/requesting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">submitted directly through LSAC&#8217;s CAS<\/a>. This may include international transcripts. If you have a graduate degree or are pursuing a graduate degree you will also need to submit these transcripts through LSAC to complete your application.<\/p>\n<p>Accepted applicants who deposit without a final degree showing on the CAS law school report will be asked to submit their official final transcripts showing the award of a baccalaureate degree and each graduate degree earned. Final transcripts such as these, when requested, should be sent directly to BU Law&#8217;s Admissions Office.<\/p>\n<p>If you have ever attended another JD program, you must indicate it on your application. <span>If you did not leave your prior program in good standing you will be asked to explain the circumstances on the application.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Transcripts from International Institutions<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"> If you have a bachelor\u2019s degree from a US institution and the total amount of coursework completed at all international institutions, either through study abroad or an exchange program with your home institution, is equal to or less than one year of undergraduate study, you do not need to provide a copy of your international transcripts.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Transcripts for Transfer Students<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"> <span>You must have an official transcript sent to BU Law directly from your law school. Each year a small number of transfer applicants may be accepted through the Transfer Early Action program. These decisions will be based on the first semester of 1L grades.
