BU Law is one of a group of select institutions to be invited to participate each year in special recruitment programs open exclusively to LLM students. Each year, LLM students are invited to participate in several job fairs and interview programs.\u00a0 We are committed to our students’ success and host mock interviews and resume workshops to help them prepare for these events.<\/p>\n

International Student Interview Program (ISIP)<\/h2>\n

BU Law LLM students are invited to participate in ISIP<\/a>, which generally takes place in New York City every January. This LLM-only program is designed for foreign-trained attorneys who are enrolled in a full-time program at one of the participating schools. ISIP invites employers with both short-term and permanent positions around the world to interview students in New York.<\/p>\n

Boston Bar Association (BBA) Pro Bono Recruitment Fair & Law Student Career Fair<\/h2>\n

The BBA Pro Bono Recruitment Fair is an annual event hosted by the Boston Bar Association (BBA). BU LLMs are able to meet representatives from local legal services organizations and to learn more about pro bono opportunities. This event is a useful way to identify potential opportunities to gain US legal experience.<\/p>\n

The BBA Law Student Career Fair happens every November, and offers LLM students the chance to connect with hiring representatives from a range of large and small firms as well as other legal organizations across Boston.\u00a0 This event provides students with the opportunity to explore career paths and build professional relationships.<\/p>\n

Tax Attorney Recruiting Event (TARE)<\/h2>\n

The Tax Attorney Recruiting Event<\/a> (TARE) is a one-day interview program that is held virtually every year in February.\u00a0 TARE is hosted by a consortium of four elite law schools and features students from the LLM in Taxation programs at\u00a0<\/span>Boston University School of Law,\u00a0the\u00a0<\/span>University of Florida Levin College of Law,\u00a0<\/span>Northwestern\u00a0Pritzker School of Law, and the\u00a0<\/span>University of California, Irvine School of Law.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Employers that participate in TARE pre-screen applications and select candidates who are of interest to them.\u00a0 Students are then interviewed virtually during TARE or are contacted directly by the employer and interviewed outside of the TARE interview process.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
