France\u2019s second-largest city, Lyon is a commercial and cultural crossroads, close to the borders of Italy, Switzerland, and Germany and only two hours from Paris by train. It has all the cultural offerings of a world-class city, without the inconveniences of a major metropolis.<\/p>\n<p>To earn 12\u00a0credits, students take:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>A two-week introductory course, Introduction to French Private Law and Introduction to French Public Law<\/li>\n<li>At least three elective courses chosen from a selection of classes in international and comparative law, including at least one with a travaux dirig\u00e9s (TD) component. (A TD is a small, intensive course that supplements one of the large lecture courses.) These include courses offered to third- and fourth-year French law students as well as postgraduate courses (Master 1 level) in Droit Communautaire (European Community Law) and Droit International des Affaires (International Business Law).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>BU Law students must be fluent in French to participate.
