In addition to survey courses that provide a basic understanding of the issues, the curriculum includes in-depth offerings exploring topics ranging from English legal history and Islamic law to international taxation, globalization, and law and war.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Outside the classroom, students can apply what they are learning in experiential settings, including through the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/law\/current-students\/jd-student-resources\/experiential-learning\/clinics\/international-human-rights-clinic\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">International Human Rights Clinic<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, which partners with NGOs around the world to advocate for communities and issues related to forced migration; the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/law\/current-students\/jd-student-resources\/legal-writing-appellate-advocacy-programs\/appellate-advocacy-program-competitions\/jessup-moot-court-competition\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Jessup Moot Court Competition<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, which is the oldest and best-known international law student competition; and the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/ilj\/\"><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">BU International Law Journal<\/span><\/i><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, where students can publish their own papers or edit the submissions of legal scholars. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">BU Law students also have the opportunity to connect and collaborate with students and faculty from the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Frederick S.
