Through events, research, and a published book, we learned more about the school\u2019s significant contributions. We also witnessed a historic US Supreme Court appointment and controversial judicial decisions. While the coming year will bring more challenges and successes, we can be certain that the BU Law community will continue to contribute to the advancement of justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are a few of BU Law\u2019s notable moments from 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"wp-block-editorial-listicle record-block-editorial-listicle has-number\"><article class=\"wp-block-editorial-listicle-article\"><figure class=\"wp-block-editorial-listicle-figure\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text wp-block-editorial-listicle-caption wp-prepress-component-caption\"><\/figcaption><\/figure><header class=\"wp-block-editorial-listicle-header\"><h2 class=\"wp-block-editorial-listicle-header-number\">1<\/h2><div class=\"wp-block-editorial-listicle-header-content\"><h3 class=\"wp-block-editorial-listicle-header-content-hed\">We Celebrated BU Law\u2019s 150th Anniversary<\/h3><h4 class=\"wp-block-editorial-listicle-header-content-dek\">Over Alumni Weekend, the BU Law community kicked off a yearlong celebration of the school\u2019s sesquicentennial with the 150th Anniversary Gala.<\/h4><\/div><\/header><section class=\"wp-block-editorial-listicle-section\"><div class=\"wp-block-editorial-listicle-section-content\"><p>CBS analyst Rikki Klieman (\u201975) emceed the celebration and noted sociopolitical comedian and filmmaker W. Kamau Bell was the guest speaker.<\/p><p>That same day, Barristers Hall was adorned with new portraits of distinguished BU Law alumni Sandra Lynch (\u201971), O. Rogeriee Thompson (\u201976), and the late Juan R. Torruella (\u201957) by the artist Timothy J.
