Moschos<\/strong> was selected for inclusion in the 2020 <em>Best Lawyers in America<\/em> list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"headline-3\" class=\"wp-block-editorial-headline record-block-editorial-headline\">1966<br><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jordan L. Shapiro<\/strong>, coauthor of Mass. Practice Series volumes 48\u201348A, was elected president of the Malden Kiwanis Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"headline-4\" class=\"wp-block-editorial-headline record-block-editorial-headline\">1969<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Martin Seidel\nNeedelman<\/strong>, project director and chief counsel at Brooklyn Legal Services\nCorporation, has been recognized by <em>Marquis Who\u2019s Who Top Lawyers<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stephen M. Randels<\/strong> says that marrying Sandy Porter was the best decision he ever made. They celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2019 and he feels luckier than ever. After graduation, he worked in Spanish Harlem before moving to Seattle to become the director of a legal services program. In 1979, he become a litigator with the Seattle office of the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. When the commission created mediation units in its regional offices, Randels served as director of the Seattle program, discovering he was a much better mediator than litigator. Since retiring, he has worked as a contractor, but spends most of his time enjoying the company of his wife, his two daughters, and his grandchildren. He encourages anyone interested in his work after law school to visit stephenmrandels.com or to give him a call if in the Seattle area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"headline-5\" class=\"wp-block-editorial-headline record-block-editorial-headline\">1970<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Laurence J. Gillis<\/strong>\nwas elected a director-at-large of the Libertarian Party of Florida. He will\nchair its Legislative Action Committee. He practiced criminal law in New\nHampshire for three decades before moving to Cape Coral in 2008. He is former\nchair of the New Hampshire House Appropriations Subcommittee on Justice and was\nan at-large member of the board of governors of the New Hampshire Bar\nAssociation. In his semi-retirement, Gillis teaches online legal studies\ncourses for the University of Maryland Global Campus, most recently teaching a\ncourse on legal ethics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>David Taylor<\/strong>, attorney, owner, and president at Adams &amp; Blinn Counselors at Law PC, was recognized by <em>Marquis Who\u2019s Who Top Lawyers<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"headline-6\" class=\"wp-block-editorial-headline record-block-editorial-headline\">1973<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dennis J. Clark<\/strong> was honored with the 2019 winner of Monsignor Malloy Award from the Catholic Lawyers Society of Detroit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"headline-7\" class=\"wp-block-editorial-headline record-block-editorial-headline\">1974<br><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Judith Nelson Dilday<\/strong> has been pursuing her fourth career on the stages of Boston. Recently, she performed in the play <em>The Audacity: Women Speak<\/em>, which won the Elliot Norton Award for small theater production from the Boston Theater Critics Association. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-background has-vivid-green-cyan-color has-very-light-gray-background-color\"><strong>Jeffrey Krinsk<\/strong>, chief executive officer and managing partner of Finkelstein and Krinsk, was appointed to the California State University Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"headline-8\" class=\"wp-block-editorial-headline record-block-editorial-headline\">1977<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maria C. Green<\/strong> joined the board of directors of WEC\nEnergy Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-very-dark-gray-color\"><strong>Joel R. Weiss<\/strong> was selected for inclusion in the 2019 <em>New York Metro Super Lawyers<\/em> list in the area of criminal defense: white collar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"headline-9\" class=\"wp-block-editorial-headline record-block-editorial-headline\">1978<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-background has-vivid-green-cyan-color has-very-light-gray-background-color\"><strong>Lois Cox<\/strong> was honored with the Pat Meyer Vision Award from the Johnson County Coalition Against Domestic Violence for her work in the University of Iowa\u2019s clinical law program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Michael R. \u201cMendy\u201d Sobol <\/strong>released his second speculative novel, <em>Virtual Fire<\/em>, in July 2019. The book&#8217;s opening chapters take place during the height of Vietnam War protests on the campus of a New England university. His 2015 novel, <em>The Speed of Darkness\u2014A Tale of Space, Time, and Aliens Who LOVE to Party!<\/em>, features a hockey-playing, spacefaring history professor and an extraterrestrial with a gambling problem. He sends apologies to his professors, classmates, and David E. Kelley (LAW\u201983) as neither novel involves courtroom drama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"headline-10\" class=\"wp-block-editorial-headline record-block-editorial-headline\">1979<br><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bruce T. Block<\/strong> was selected for inclusion in the 2020 <em>Best Lawyers in America<\/em> list for land use and zoning law and real estate law. He was also recognized as a <em>Wisconsin Super Lawyer<\/em> and named a Milwaukee Power Broker by the <em>Milwaukee Business Journal<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bob Lavoie<\/strong> was elected to the Amesbury, Mass. school committee.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"headline-11\" class=\"wp-block-editorial-headline record-block-editorial-headline\">1980<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Samuel B. Moskowitz<\/strong> was recognized by 2019 <em>Massachusetts Super Lawyers<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"headline-12\" class=\"wp-block-editorial-headline record-block-editorial-headline\">1981<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Carl N. Weiner<\/strong> was selected for inclusion in the 2020 <em>Best Lawyers in America<\/em> list for land use and zoning law. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"headline-13\" class=\"wp-block-editorial-headline record-block-editorial-headline\">1983<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Annamarie Bondi-Stoddard<\/strong> was named a 2020 <em>Best\nLawyers in America<\/em> \u201cLawyer of the Year\u201d for&nbsp;\nher work in plaintiffs medical malpractice law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Robert S. Khuzami<\/strong>\njoined Guggenheim Partners as chief legal officer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Alan S. Rutkin<\/strong>\nwas recommended in Legal 500&#8217;s insurance category, and Rivkin Radler\u2019s insurance\ncoverage practice group was selected in the publication\u2019s US rankings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Susan Yashar<\/strong>, general counsel for Deloitte Global, was honored by the Directors Roundtable with its World Recognition of Distinguished General Counsel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"headline-14\" class=\"wp-block-editorial-headline record-block-editorial-headline\">1984<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fern J. Finkel<\/strong> was\nselected for inclusion in the <em>New York\nState Super Lawyers<\/em> list for the sixth consecutive year in the field of elder\nlaw.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Michael D. Fricklas<\/strong> was appointed to the Boston\nUniversity board of trustees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>William Joseph<\/strong> (LLM in Taxation\u201989) was recognized\namong the 2019 Legal Elite by <em>Georgia Trend<\/em> magazine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mark N. Reinharz<\/strong>\nwas selected for inclusion in the 2019 <em>New\nYork Metro Super Lawyers<\/em> and the 2020 <em>Best\nLawyers in America<\/em> lists in the category of employment and labor law. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Michael N. Ungar<\/strong>, chair of the litigation department at Ulmer &amp; Berne LLP, has been named among the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in America by Benchmark Litigation for the fifth consecutive year. He also earned his place on the 2019 <em>Ohio Super Lawyers<\/em> list and was recognized among the top 10 attorneys in Ohio and top 5 attorneys in Cleveland for the seventh consecutive year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"headline-15\" class=\"wp-block-editorial-headline record-block-editorial-headline\">1985<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Robert M. Finkel<\/strong> (LLM\nin Taxation\u201995) was selected for inclusion in the 2020 <em>Best Lawyers in America<\/em> for his work in the areas of tax law and\ntax litigation and controversy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jerry Siegelman<\/strong> was named cochair of the real estate department at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek PC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"headline-16\" class=\"wp-block-editorial-headline record-block-editorial-headline\">1986<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Steven A. He was also appointed as a member of the section\u2019s task force on\nefficient justice. In addition, he was named chair-elect of the Commercial Real\nEstate Finance Council High Yield Distressed Realty Assets Forum. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Louis Hockman<\/strong>\njoined the Philadelphia office of Rawle &amp; Henderson LLP as of counsel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Martin J. McLaughlin<\/strong> was selected for inclusion in the 2020 <em>Best Lawyers in America<\/em> for his work in corporate law. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"headline-18\" class=\"wp-block-editorial-headline record-block-editorial-headline\">1988<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Karen L. Kahn<\/strong> opened a boutique law firm in Newton, Mass. with Angela Smagula (Georgetown) called Kahn &amp; Smagula LLP. They also mentor young women interested in courtroom lawyering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Elin Swanson Katz<\/strong> was named associate general counsel and managing director of energy consulting for Tilson Technology Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Andrew D. Myers<\/strong> was selected for inclusion in the 2019 <em>Massachusetts Super Lawyers<\/em> list. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Terry N. Steinberg<\/strong> retired from her civil rights work after more than 33 years of federal service. She loves being retired and focusing on improving her physical fitness. She recently earned her gold sash in Kung Fu and also studies Tai Chi. Her other fitness activities include Bone Builders (weightlifting for bone and muscle strength), Classical Stretch, and outdoor walks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"headline-21\" class=\"wp-block-editorial-headline record-block-editorial-headline\">1991<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Debbie Chizewer<\/strong>\nwas named managing attorney of Earthjustice in the new Chicago office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nathaniel Dalton<\/strong>, former chair of the Boston University board of overseers, was named to the BU board of trustees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Daniel S.
