Snyder (LLB\u201963)<\/strong> was recognized by Boston Architectural College with the Design Leadership Honoris Causa. He is in his 60th year of practice and shares that it\u2019s much better than retirement. He is active on six not-for-profit boards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 id=\"headline-1\" class=\"wp-block-editorial-headline record-block-editorial-headline is-style-emphasis-color\">1970s<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Alan M. Parness (JD\u201970)<\/strong> retired in April 2013 from Cadwalader, Wickersham &amp; Taft in New York after 40 years as associate and counsel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Erica Levine Powers (LLB\u201971, LLM\u201976)<\/strong> is in her second term as elected secretary of the New York State Bar Association\u2019s Dispute Resolution Section. She was awarded the ABA Section of State &amp; Local Government Law Jefferson B. Fordham Lifetime Service Award in August 2024. She also co-edited <em>Heirs\u2019 Property and the Uniform Partition of Heirs Property Act: Challenges, Solutions, and Historic Reform<\/em> (ABA 2022) with Thomas Mitchell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jery E. Barton (JD\u201972)<\/strong> has transitioned from law practice to grant writing, focusing on securing funds for energy efficiency improvements in low-income residences. He also assists nonprofits with securing cybersecurity grants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stanley H. Cooper (JD\u201972, LLM\u201977)<\/strong> retired from his position as trustee at New Century Portfolios after 26 years, having served as chairman of the board for the last eight years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sylvia A. He also received the Outstanding Alumnus Award from Morehouse College at their 2024 commencement.<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>F. Walter Bistline, Jr. (JD\u201975) <\/strong>retired in 2021 after 25 years of corporate law, followed by 3 years in an MFA program and 17 years as the photography instructor at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Robert Harb (JD\u201975, LLM\u201976)<\/strong> is currently serving a third term as a New Hampshire state representative and vice chair of the New Hampshire House of Representatives Resources, Recreation and Development Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-editorial-aside record-block-editorial-aside has-primary-background\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>Hon. Cheryl Chambers (JD\u201976)<\/strong> is an associate justice of the Appellate Division, Second Department, New York. On June 1, 2024, she assumed the role of president of the New York Bar Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the New York State Bar Association.<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Greg Friedman (JD\u201976)<\/strong> is still pursuing his career in real estate transactions and taxation, leasing, and estate planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Robin E. Keller (JD\u201978)<\/strong> is a retired partner at Hogan Lovells US LLP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Gints Robert Berzins (JD\u201979)<\/strong> retired from his position as the head of the London office of Beach Point Capital in December 2023. He is teaching Investment Perspectives from a Hedge Fund Guy, a lecture series at the Stockholm School of Economics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Richard C. Godfrey (JD\u201979) <\/strong>was ranked by clients as a BTI Client Service All-Star for 2024 by BTI Consulting Group, Inc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Christie E. Webb (JD\u201979) <\/strong>has been a certified appellate specialist in Los Angeles since 2017. As executive vice president and chief legal officer of Biogen, she played a pivotal role in advancing the cause of supporting public interest law through supporting Biogen\u2019s cosponsorship of seven Equal Justice Works Fellows since 2012. She is a longtime member of both the Equal Justice Works Scales of Justice Steering Committee and the Board of Counselors. Her involvement in the Boston Bar Association\u2019s Statewide Task Force to Expand Civil Legal Aid in Massachusetts, which produced a roadmap for cost-effective funding of civil legal aid, reflects her dedication to addressing societal barriers to access to justice.<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Carl N. Weiner (JD\u201981)<\/strong> was selected to the 2024 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list in the area of real estate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sally VanderWeele (JD\u201983) <\/strong>is retired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A. Neil Hartzell (JD\u201984)<\/strong> is a partner at Freeman Mathis &amp; Gary LLP in Boston specializing in commercial litigation and has been listed for the past 10 years in <em>Best Lawyers in America<\/em>. He was honored to present ESG and Financial Lines Claims in the United States at the World Insurance Congress in Melbourne, Australia, in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jonathan B. James (JD\u201985) <\/strong>will become a grandfather for the first time in May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hon. His latest novel, <em>The Other Murder<\/em>, won the CLUE Grand Prize for the 2023 Chanticleer International Book Awards. His 10th novel, <em>Double Takedown<\/em>, was published in fall 2024.<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>David G. Curran (JD\u201986)<\/strong> leads one of the first practices dedicated to sustainability and ESG law. He is also executive director of the ESG and Law Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Steven Feldman (JD\u201986)<\/strong> has won hundreds of civil and criminal trials and appeals in state and federal courts over the past 37 years, including a 2015 case before the US Supreme Court: <em>Taste v. United States<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Allegra L. Fishel (JD\u201986) <\/strong>founded the Gender Equality Law Center in New York City, a nonprofit law firm and advocacy organization that works to advance laws and policies that address barriers to economic security and advancement caused by gender-based discrimination. Her organization is always looking for volunteers and board members at afishel@genderequalitylaw.org.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Frederick Smead Armstrong (JD\u201987) <\/strong>retired at the end of 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Louis Hockman (JD\u201987)<\/strong> served as a faculty advisor for the 2024 Philadelphia Bar Association\u2019s Interactive Trial Skills Leadership Program. As principal and founder of ADRx, he offers comprehensive mediation, arbitration, and neutral evaluation services for personal injury, employment, and commercial litigation matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>John F. Shoro (JD\u201987, LLM\u201992)<\/strong> is managing partner at Bowditch &amp; Dewey LLP and was named a Go-To Taxation Lawyer by <em>Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly<\/em>. <em>Best Lawyers in America<\/em> honored him as Lawyer of the Year in 2020, 2022, and 2024 for his work in trust and estates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>John C. Petrella (JD\u201988)<\/strong> joined the employment and labor law firm Jackson Lewis in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>William J.
