Wayne Gittinger Professor at the University of Washington School of Law.\u00a0He is a founding co-<\/span><span><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/law\/files\/2025\/08\/9780197526149.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"267\" height=\"403\" class=\"wp-image-119679 alignright\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/law\/files\/2025\/08\/9780197526149.jpg 364w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/law\/files\/2025\/08\/9780197526149-228x344.jpg 228w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/law\/files\/2025\/08\/9780197526149-350x529.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 267px) 100vw, 267px\" \/><\/span><span>director of the interdisciplinary UW Tech Policy Lab and a co-founder of the UW Center for an Informed Public. Professor Calo holds a joint appointment at the Information School and an adjunct appointment at the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science and\u00a0<\/span><span>Engineering. Professor Calo&#8217;s research on law and emerging technology appears in leading law reviews (<\/span><i>California Law Review, Columbia Law Review, Duke Law Journal, UCLA Law Review, and University of Chicago Law Review<\/i><span>)\u00a0and technical publications (<\/span><i>MIT Press, Nature, Artificial Intelligence<\/i><span>) and is frequently referenced by the national media.
