Angel Mathis

Biography

“The only way to get somewhere you’ve never been is to do something you’ve never done,” has carried Angel from the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina, where in 2016 she earned a BA summa cum laude in communication, creative writing, and tourism management, to working for Target for over three years across two different states, to volunteering in hostels across the beautiful country of Ireland. It’s exactly this curvy career path, however, that brings her to the CDO, as she hopes to encourage students to let curiosity, not fear, propel them into the workforce.

When not in the office, you can find Angel traveling to a new part of the world, discovering the next best cold brew, curating themed movie marathons, or hunkering down in a basement for local poetry readings/mic sessions.
