Transactional Law Series: Private Equity, Sponsored by Weil, Gotshal
- Starts: 12:45 pm on Thursday, January 31, 2019
- Ends: 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 31, 2019
Please join the CDO and Weil Gotschal for the next edition of the Transactional Law Series. Corporate private equity work relates to acquisitions (investments or complete buyouts) made by private equity firms which result in equity ownership in that company, and the eventual exit (via private sale, IPO or otherwise) of that firm. PE lawyers help the firms diligence targets, and navigate and negotiate the transaction terms, including purchase price and conditions of the acquisition, the structure of how they hold (and eventually exit) their investment. Weil attorneys will describe a hypothetical transaction and discuss related tasks, from the perspective of associates on the deal. Open to 1L students. RSVP on the Events tab in Symplicity. Lunch will be served.
