Students looking to burn off academic stress (or a few calories) can schedule a workout in Boston University’s Fitness & Recreation Center.

The state-of-the-art center features the following amenities:

  • Weight room and cardiovascular areas
  • Two pools
  • Two gymnasia with seven courts
  • Seven multi-use rooms for group exercise
  • Yoga and martial arts
  • Racquetball and squash courts
  • 35-foot-high climbing wall
  • Indoor track
  • Café

Additionally, the Department of Physical Education, Recreation & Dance offers more than 80 classes and workshops, personal fitness services, and intramural sports like sailing, kayaking, aerobics, rugby, softball, and hockey.

Within steps of the School’s door lies the Charles River Esplanade, three miles of riverside paths and parks, through which students can picnic, jog, roller blade, cycle, or even rent a sailboat between classes.

BU Law’s Student Affairs’ Office has joined with BU Sargent College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences to offer an innovative “Live Well, Learn Well” program. Our goal is to improve students’ academic performance and general well-being through small changes in exercise and diet while being realistic about students’ busy lives as law students.
