Silicon Valley's Speech

  • Starts: 3:30 pm on Wednesday, September 11, 2019
  • Ends: 5:00 pm on Wednesday, September 11, 2019

In this Cyber Alliance talk, Prof. Alan Rozenshtein of University of Minnesota Law School will discuss his project "Silicon Valley’s Speech." Prof. Rozenshtein will explore how technology companies use free-speech arguments to defend against government regulation and public pressure across a variety of policy areas. The project looks across substantive areas where companies have used speech arguments — including privacy, surveillance, antitrust, content moderation, and consumer protection — and provides a lens through which to analyze legal and policy areas that are generally considered in isolation.

There will be time for casual conversation and light refreshments before and after the presentation. Please RSVP to tgabs@bu.edu.
