A symposium celebrating the publication of “The Racial Muslim: When Racism Quashes Religious Freedom” by Sahar Aziz, who joins Boston University School of Law in the Fall 20021 as the William and Patricia Kleh Visiting Professor of International Law. Aziz’s forthcoming book examines how religious bigotry racializes immigrant Muslims through a historical and comparative approach. Professor Aziz teaches courses on national security, critical race theory, Islamophobia, evidence, torts, and Middle East law. At BU Law, she will teach National Security Law and a new course, Global Islamophobia.

To celebrate the forthcoming publication of this exciting book, we have invited distinguished scholars to comment on it.
