Bonjou! My name is Bianca Cadet (she\/her), and I am a\u00a0QuestBridge\u00a0student in the Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences<\/a> Class of 2029, studying Behavior & Health<\/a> as a pre-physical therapy<\/a> student.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As a\u00a0Haitian-Bahamian\u00a0who has moved around\u00a0frequently, there\u00a0isn\u2019t\u00a0a single place I can truly pinpoint as my hometown. I currently live in Atlanta, Georgia, but I emigrated to the United States from The Bahamas in 2021 and completed high school in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On campus, you might see me giving tours as an Admissions Ambassador, tinkering in the Innovate@BU<\/a> space, or planning prospective student events with the Admissions Student Diversity Board.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0not studying in my favorite libraries, walking along the Esplanade, or hosting one of my weekly game nights with friends, you might catch me in the Kilachand kitchen making Haitian or Bahamian food (and yes, I will share!).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve\u00a0spent my first year at BU discovering the tips and tricks I need to thrive in the years ahead, and\u00a0I believe it all\u00a0started when I was a prospective student. I reached out to current students to learn what they loved most, compiled a list of resources BU offered, and attended every\u00a0webinar\u00a0that interested me.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Through that research, I found my secret to making this large campus feel small and perfectly crafted just for me:\u00a0the Kilachand\u00a0Honors College.
