I recruited volunteers for Comfort Zone Camp, a free weekend-long camp that supports grieving kids (15 as of October 2024).<\/p>\n

Emma Obregon Dominguez <\/strong>
For the Ones Who Were Silenced: How the Increased Persecution of Journalists Contributed to the Resolution of the Guatemalan Civil War (1975-1993) <\/em>
This senior honors thesis examines how press censorship and, often fatal, persecution of journalists in Guatemala from 1975 to 1993 played a vital role in the mobilization of antiwar activists that culminated with the end of the Guatemalan Civil War (1960-1996).<\/p>\n

Noah Rieber <\/strong>
Heat Stress and EMS: The Impact of Extreme Heat Events on Pre-Hospital Medical Emergencies <\/em>
This study hopes to model the impact that extreme heat events have on 911 medical activations at the national scale using local weather data and the National EMS Information System database.<\/p>\n

Evaluating the Relationship Between Uric Acid and Podocyte Health in Patients with Biopsy-Confirmed Kidney Disease <\/em>
An exploration of the association between serum uric acid levels, histopathologic lesions, and podocyte injury as evidenced by foot process effacement in patients with biopsy-confirmed kidney disease.<\/p>\n

Abigail Skena <\/strong>
Assessing Predation Pressure in a Tribal Fishery Using Predictions from Optimal Foraging Theory <\/em>
As migratory river herring populations drop to critically low numbers within Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah) managed waters, I am integrating classical foraging theory and non-invasive Tribal resource monitoring to determine whether predation pressure from striped bass could be exacerbating this decline.<\/p>\n

Melissa Taylor<\/strong>
Navigating Cross-Cultural, Interdisciplinary Collaboration on Sesame Street: A Multi-Media Exploration <\/em>
This project explores the collaborative process behind Sesame Street’s International Co-Productions through a multimedia literature review and a series of personal interviews.
