In keeping with our focus on \u201cRecovery and Resilience\u201d in Studio and beyond, the first co-curricular of the semester will be\u00a0<\/span>The Arboretum Experience<\/em>, a multi-media, site-specific, theatrical excursion to the Arnold Arboretum, a gorgeous museum of living trees. Additionally, on October 19 at 7 pm, members of the creative and production teams, as well as the Director of the Arboretum, will come to Kilachand for a panel discussion.\u00a0<\/span>Each event will count as one co-curricular.<\/p>\n

Arboretum Site Visit<\/h4>
<\/p>\n

Date & Time:<\/strong> Ongoing event throughout the fall semester.<\/p>\n

Event Description:<\/strong> Experience the natural beauty of the Arnold Arboretum on an outdoor, self-guided journey that centers resilience, healing, wellness, and joy – featuring audio plays, movement experiences, as well as pop-up music and dance performances, all set against the 281-acre backdrop of one of the jewels of Boston\u2019s Emerald Necklace.<\/span><\/p>\n

This event counts as one co-curricular.<\/p>\n

Attendance: <\/strong>Students are encouraged to sign up with a group led by a KHC faculty\/staff member. Students are also welcome to go on their own and should submit a short personal reflection following their visit to earn attendance credit for this co-curricular event (reflection form below).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Note: Students are responsible for getting themselves to and from the arboretum. In case of financial hardship, you can request a reimbursement for your MBTA (bus & train) trip.<\/p>\n

Event Description: <\/strong>The choreographers, playwrights, spoken-word artists, creators, and collaborators who designed the Arboretum Experience are coming to Kilachand! Please join us for a freewheeling discussion of the work, the Arnold Arboretum, site-specific performance, community-engaged arts, and any other topics and questions you bring to our distinguished guests.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

This event counts as one co-curricular.<\/p>\n

Panelists: <\/strong>The panel will include Arnold Arboretum director William Friedman<\/a>, playwright Kirsten Greenidge<\/a>, musician Tim Hall<\/a>, choreographer Lonnie Stanton<\/a>, and will be moderated by Professor Preston.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
