Students in each school or college must fulfill general education requirements in addition to the requirements of their major and Kilachand courses satisfy some or all of these general education requirements, depending on the program. Basic integration guidelines can be found below.<\/p>\n<h4>For students entering Boston University prior to fall 2018<\/h4>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h5 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Questrom School of Business<\/h5><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p>Completion of the Kilachand Honors College curriculum satisfies CAS WR 100, the three Liberal Arts Distribution Requirements (one Natural Science, one Social Science, and one Humanities), and three (of four) Liberal Arts Electives. If students have fulfilled these electives in other ways, they may work with their Questrom advisor to use the Kilachand Honors College curriculum to fulfill other Questrom liberal arts electives. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h5 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">School of Hospitality Administration<\/h5><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p>The Kilachand Honors College curriculum satisfies 32 credits of distribution requirements for School of Hospitality Administration students as follows: CAS WR 100, CAS WR 150, one humanities course, one natural science course, one social science course, and 12 general elective credits. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h5 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">School of Education<\/h5><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p>The Kilachand Honors College curriculum will fulfill two humanities courses, two laboratory science courses, two social science courses, CAS WR 100, and CAS WR 150 for secondary education majors. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h5 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Sargent College<\/h5><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p>The Kilachand Honors College curriculum will fulfill writing credit, humanities electives, social science electives, and general electives for students in the Human Physiology, Health Sciences, and Speech, Language &amp;amp; Hearing Sciences programs. The electives fulfilled vary by program.<\/p>\n<h5>Human Physiology<\/h5>\n<p>CAS WR 100, CAS WR 150, one humanities elective, two social science electives, and two general electives.<\/p>\n<h5>Health Sciences<\/h5>\n<p>CAS WR 100, CAS WR 150, two humanities electives, two social science electives, and one minor\/specialty elective.<\/p>\n<h5>Speech, Language &#038; Hearing Sciences<\/h5>\n<p>CAS WR 100, CAS WR 150, two social science electives, and three general electives. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h5 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">College of Engineering<\/h5><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p>The Kilachand Honors College curriculum will fulfill the 24-credit general education requirement for students in the College of Engineering, which includes the following: CAS WR 100, CAS WR 150, one general education elective, and three social science or humanities courses. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h5 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">College of Communication<\/h5><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p>All Kilachand Honors College courses totaling 32 credits will count toward College of Communication (COM) degree requirements. COM will work with students to determine\u2014based on their individual circumstances and aspirations\u2014the ways in which Kilachand Honors College courses will contribute to the fulfillment of each student\u2019s degree requirements. The intent is to offer students the greatest flexibility in course selection and advise how Kilachand Honors College courses count not only toward general education requirements, but also, in certain cases, toward upper-level requirements. Successful completion of the studio coursework fulfills CAS WR 100 and CAS WR 150. COM will provide academic advising to students each semester so that they know how Kilachand Honors College courses will fulfill their COM degree requirements. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h5 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">College of Fine Arts<\/h5><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<h5>School of Theatre<\/h5>\n<p>Twenty-eight\u00a0credits of liberal arts courses are required to complete the course of study for graduation. The Kilachand Honors College curriculum fulfills liberal arts requirements for students as follows: writing requirement, one College of Arts &amp;amp; Sciences (CAS) liberal arts elective, two CAS history of art &amp;amp; architecture electives, two CAS social science electives, and one Shakespeare elective.<\/p>\n<h5>School of Music<\/h5>\n<p>Twenty-eight credits of liberal arts courses are required to complete the course of study for graduation. The Kilachand Honors College curriculum\u00a0fulfills liberal arts requirements for College of Fine Arts students as follows: freshman writing, four liberal arts electives, two English literature courses, and two general electives.<\/p>\n<h5>School of Visual Arts<\/h5>\n<p>At least 28 credits of liberal arts courses are required to complete the course of study for graduation. The Kilachand Honors College curriculum\u00a0fulfills 28 credits of liberal arts requirements and the writing requirement. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h5 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">College of Arts &amp; Sciences<\/h5><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p>Students who complete all Kilachand Honors College coursework and elect to take freshman seminars in two divisions outside of their major division can complete the CAS WR 100 and CAS WR 150 foundational requirement in writing as well as their CAS general education breadth requirements with the exception of the Mathematics and Computer Science divisional requirement.
