CAS’25 Mathematics, Education
Hello! I’m Veronica McKinney and I’m from San Diego, California. I am a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences, studying Math and Education with a minor in Data Science. On campus, I am a BU Admissions Ambassador, and a member of the club water polo team, CAS anti-racism initiative (CASARI), Half Asian Peoples Association (HAPA), and The Urban Garden Initiative (TUGI). In addition to being a Kilachand Ambassador, I am a member of the Kilachand Leadership Advisory Board (KLAB). I am especially passionate about education, solving the Wordle, and mint gum!
I love the community at Kilachand, including my friends, peers, helpful professors, and friendly administration! In particular, I am really enjoying my current seminar “Whose Schools? Power, Equality, & Public Education” because it has helped me realize what I may want to pursue as a career. I took the “Energy and Society” seminar my first semester, and enjoyed learning about real problems in the world (such as climate change) and discussing how we can solve them. These smaller classes with familiar friends have helped me feel at home in a large university.
I look forward to sharing more about what I love about KHC and BU. Please don’t hesitate to reach out!
