CAS’23 Neurobiology, Pre-Med

Hi! I’m Rutva Bhatt, a current senior in CAS studying Biology with a specialization in Neurobiology and minoring in Psychology while on the pre-med track. I’m from the suburbs near Chicago, where every now and then my friends and I would visit the city, and I love exploring the city of Boston now.

At BU, I’ve participated in the Pre-Medical Society, Mind and Brain Society, BUIAA’s Model UN Conferences (BosMUN and BarMUN), and I’ve volunteered at the Cambridge Women’s Center and Casa Nueva Vida. I have also done research in the BASE Lab and Social Learning Lab at BU. In my free time, I like to watch movies with my friends (Interstellar blew my mind), listen to music/podcasts (Sawbones is pretty good), watch Netflix, or visit new places around Boston/Cambridge (the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is one of my favorites, and I’ve been kayaking on the Charles River).

The Kilachand seminars I have taken are A Nation Riven (about activism in the 60s) and Aesthetics & Dance. They expose me to new and ideas I want to learn about, but otherwise wouldn’t get the chance to explore. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions about BU, Kilachand, pre-med, or anything else!
