Cosette Potter

CAS’24 Political Science

Hi everyone! My name is Cosette and I’m from Nacogdoches, Texas. I am a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Political Science. My goal is to eventually attend law school in order to practice immigration and human rights law. Currently, I am involved in a variety of organizations at BU including: the BU Pre-Law Review, the Women’s Network, Women’s Water Polo, and Phi Alpha Delta Pre-law Fraternity. This is my third semester writing for the BU Pre-Law Review and second semester as a layout editor. Additionally, this is my second semester as a blog writer for the Women’s Network at BU. Outside of BU, I also volunteer with The Refugee and Immigration Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES) in Texas.

One of my favorite parts about KHC so far has been the support I have received from my professors while exploring my interests in a variety of topics, from migration and policy to social determinants of public health. Additionally, I enjoy the opportunity to bring pieces of my own identity forward in KHC class discussions and share my perspective on current events and issues. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions you have!
