He is director of the\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/judaicstudies\/shtetl\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Shtetl Economic History Project<\/a><span>, which curates the University\u2019s collection of Jewish business documents from Romania and Poland. His recent research focused on Jewish life in World War I-era Madrid and the role played by Abraham Yahuda and Max Nordau, who interacted in Madrid during the war.
